When a moderator sets up an activity/warm up question, it’s a good practice to go first for three main reasons:
- It gives an example to the rest of the group on how to do the activity or answer the question.
- It gives the rest of the group a chance to think about their answer since they are hearing it for the first time.
- The moderator can set the ton for how she/he wants the group to answer (e.g. give a funny or deep or serious answer and the group will follow your lead)
