We spend a lot of time focuses on our successes, but as Bill Gates says,
“It’s fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.”
The Failure Resume is a chance to do just that. Here’s how it works:
- Give everyone a blank piece of paper and have them put their name on the top and below their name put “My Failure Resume”
- Give the group 10-15 minutes to write a resume of important “failures” in their life with a list of lessons they learned from those failures.
- Bring the group back together and give each person four minutes to share what they wrote.
OPTIONAL:- Have the group ask follow up questions- Have the group reflect back on each share- Have each person reflect on the activity- Create an action plan to learn how to successfully “fail” more in the future
