JRR Tolkien’s Forum

JRR Tolkien’s Forum

Did you know that JRR Tolkien was part of a Forum called TCBS (Tea Club, Barrovian Society)

They founded it in 1911 while in grammar school and it was comprised of 4 people who were all passionate about the arts. Over the years, they met regularly at a tea house to talk about their various artistic talents, hold each other accountable, and create some great experiences together.

The companionship that’s expressed throughout The Lord of The Rings is based on what he felt by being a part of his Forum.

I love that the concept of a Forum, or an accountability group, has deep historical roots.

The best growth truly does happen in circles, not rows.
